EPILEPTIC ABSENCE SEIZURES

QUICK FACTS

HOW DOES IT WORK?

How does it work

Epihunter detects, logs and signals silent, difficult to notice epileptic absence seizures. We simply turn on a light or make a sound when the brain switches off.

“Thanks to the Epihunter solution I now live my life more relaxed and have a better contact with my neurologist.”

— P, 52 years old, has absence epilepsy - Antwerp (Belgium)

FOR WHOM?

Person with epilepsy

Person with epilepsy gains insight into the length of seizures. Can actively optimize the algorithm. Lessens frustration and misunderstandings.

Teacher

Teacher, colleague or interlocutor is aware of a seizure and can repeat information later. Improved relationships.

Family

Family receives recognition and reassurance about daily situations. Objective information about seizure frequency.

“The neurologist always asks us how many seizures he has. It is really stressful, as a mother I don’t know either!”

— Laura, mum of Bart

“Being able to consult a seizure history of a few months will be very interesting for medication optimization.”

— Prof. Dr. Lieven Lagae
